The Good Heart was set up in July 2018 as an experimental venture to explore how kindness can be nurtured in Frome.
- We have events exploring how people can grow in kindness
- We provide a home for the healthy and affordable Tibetan Memories cafe, which operates on a “pay it forward” basis
- We offer a space for like-minded groups to meet
The Good Heart is an independent local non-profit initiative and is not connected to any political or religious group.
2020 has been a year of challenges and uncertainty for all of us. Would you welcome an uplifting moment, or just some company, on Christmas morning? If so, you’re warmly invited to join us on Zoom from 10.00 – 11.15am for a celebration of kindness, the true spirit of Christmas.
Everyone is welcome. This is not a religious event and it’s free of charge. You can join us for the whole session or just drop in when you can. Please bring a candle to light together at 11am.
Here is the Zoom link. Alternatively, the Meeting ID is 869 9531 4525 and the password is 581935.
NB: this event will start at 10am not 10.15am as previously advertised
CAFE HOLIDAY DATES
Our pay-it-forward cafe run by Tibetan Memories will be closed for the holidays from 24 December to Sunday 3 January. From Monday 4 January it will reopen from 12 noon to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday. Please contact Namdi on 07908 139 244. The cafe now offers both a takeaway service plus a few safely-distanced tables indoors.
Due to popular demand, we are continuing to offer Heartspace: a gentle online meditation space, open to all, from 9.00 – 9.30am Monday to Friday. We also provided a one-hour support session for NHS staff at Frome Medical Centre in July, and are now exploring other safely-distanced opportunities to explore the topic of kindness towards ourselves and others in the autumn. Please sign up to our mailing list if you’d like occasional news about our activities.
