About The Event
Forgiveness is a powerful tool to overcome resentment and help reduce the pain of the past. But what motivates people to forgive - is it an act of kindness, bravery or stupidity? For the past twenty years Marina Cantacuzino, founder of The Forgiveness Project charity, has been collecting, curating and sharing real stories of forgiveness and compassion to discover what it takes to create a more humane world. These stories, from victims and perpetrators, reveal the potency of forgiveness, its efficacy in healing broken hearts and mending broken relationships, but also that this is often contested and contentious territory. In this lecture Marina will adjust her lens to explore where kindness fits in on the path to forgiveness and why it is a skill that we might all benefit from learning to cultivate.
